Implementasi Kelas Tahfidz dalam Peningkatan Prestasi Belajar Siswa pada Mata Pelajaran Al-Qur'an Hadis Di MTSN 2 Mojokerto
Abstract
This study aims to examine the implementation of the tahfidz class in improving students’ achievement in the subject of Qur’an Hadith at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri 2 Mojokerto, as well as to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors influencing students’ performance. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed using data collection, presentation, and verification stages. The findings reveal that the tahfidz class is conducted four times a week, from Monday to Thursday, between 07.00–09.00 a.m., with an additional one-hour session after school. The program is supported by a tahfidz coordinator and a professional supervising teacher. Each student is required to memorize at least one new verse daily, with weekly review sessions and a semester evaluation in the form of a tasmi’ test. The tahfidz class has shown a significant positive effect on students’ achievement in Qur’an Hadith, demonstrated by higher mastery levels and faster completion of learning materials compared to regular classes. The key supporting factors include the role of teachers, family support, and the structured tahfidz program, while challenges arise from variations in students’ cognitive abilities and limited parental involvement.
