ACADEMIC SUPERVISION CLASS VISIT TO IMPROVE TEACHER PEDAGOGICAL COMPETENCE
Abstract
This study aims to improve teacher pedagogic competence by supervising class visits
conducted by school principals. The subjects in this study were teachers of grades I-v at
SD N 2 Punggangan. This research was conducted in 2 cycles. The data collection
instrument used was an observation sheet in the form of a checklist. Data obtained in
cycle I from a total of 5 teachers showed that all teachers received scores ranging from
65-74 on the lesson planning aspect. And in the aspect of the implementation of learning
the teacher gets a score in the range of 65-74 which is 4 0 people and 75-84 is 1 person.
With these data, it can be said that teachers still do not master pedagogical competence
and in the second cycle the data shows that 5 teachers or 100% of the research subjects
got a score of 75-84 in the planning aspect. Meanwhile, in the implementation aspect of
learning, 1 person gets a score in the range of 84-95 and 4 other people get a score in the
range of 75-84.
