About the Journal
Program Studi PIAUD, Fakultas Tarbiyah, IAI Qamarul Huda Bagu NTB publishes Playground: Journal of Islamic Early Childhood Education (Pendidikan Islam Anak Usia Dini), a professional academic journal dedicated to the advancement of scholarly studies, research, and innovation in the field of Early Childhood Education (ECE), particularly within Islamic educational perspectives.
The journal aims to promote the improvement of learning quality, child nurturing practices, and educational policies for young children within local, national, and global contexts. Its scope encompasses a wide range of topics related to early childhood development, including cognitive, language, socio-emotional, moral, and motor development.
In addition, the journal highlights innovative learning models and pedagogical strategies such as play-based learning, STEAM education, and values-based instruction, as well as the integration of technology and digital learning, including the ethical and meaningful use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in early childhood education.
Furthermore, the journal welcomes studies on character education and religious values, parenting practices and family engagement, child health, nutrition, and well-being, assessment and evaluation of child development, management and policy in early childhood education, and inclusive education for children with special needs.
The journal also addresses contemporary issues such as digital literacy, child protection, and child-friendly education in the era of Society 5.0. Playground: Journal of Islamic Early Childhood Education encourages the publication of empirical research and innovative conceptual studies that are contextual, interdisciplinary, and culturally responsive, while integrating spiritual and cultural values to address the evolving challenges of contemporary education.
Playground: Journal of Islamic Early Childhood Education is published twice a year, in June and December.
